Intercambio Cultural “Fit your body and educate your mind!” del 11 al 19 de octubre de 2013 en Dojran (Macedonia)

La Asociación Juvenil OportunidadEuropa busca 5 participantes del 11 al 9 de octubre de 2013 para el Intercambio Cultural  “Fit your body and educate your mind!”.

El proyecto tendrá lugar el en la ciudad de Dojran (Republic of Macedonia).

 

Youth Exchange will take place from 11 to 19 October 2013 for the duration of 9 days (travel days included) and will gather 30 participants from 6 European countries (Croatia, Italy, Macedonia, Romania, Spain and Turkey).

 

Aims & Objectives:

The main purpose of this project is to show how to use sport as a tool for social inclusion of young people and promotion of personal development, besides using sport as a way to improve physical activity.

Thus, through sports activities young people, especially those with fewer opportunities, can learn valuable personal skills such as cooperation, patience, leadership, being part of a team, selfcontrol, independence etc. that can be used in their everyday lives while facing certain life challenges.

In other words, the main objective of the Youth Exchange “Fit your body and educate your mind!”, is to provide education to the participants on the importance of practicing sport activities for gaining social skills and developing certain abilities for coping with life challenges.

 

The aim will be achieved by means of a few objectives described below:

  • To improve participants’ knowledge, skills and attitudes with regards on their personal development;
  • To help participants learn about various opportunities sports can offer, other than staying in a good health;
  • To provide space for sharing experiences and good practices on given topics;
  • To help participants become more aware of the need to promote sport activities as an important tool for social cohesion in terms of using it with a purpose for meeting and communicating with peer groups, thus to create different social networks such as, friends, contacts etc.;
  • To promote democracy and equal opportunities for all participants while using sport as an educational method.

 

Methodology:

The training methodology will be based on nonformal educational methods such as, short theoretical lectures and presentations, practical exercises and opportunities for experiential learning and possibilities to reflect on the applicability of introduced ideas.

Therefore, this Youth Exchange will include group activities, debates, skillsdevelopment workshops on cultural awareness, selfassessment, improvement of key competences, sharing ideas, cultural presentations and outdoor activities which will encourage participants to discuss and share views and opinions about the project’s theme.

 

Venue and Accommodation:

The Youth Exchange will be held in the city of Dojran, located in the southeastern part of the Republic of Macedonia, a small, but very lively and colourful city with beautiful natural lake (Dojran Lake) and diverse nightlife which makes it one of the top tourist destinations in Macedonia.

Furthermore, participants will be accommodated in Hotel Polin, modern hotel which offers great venue for daily activities and comfortable rooms in modern style with WiFi featuring a private bathroom.

Facilities at the hotel include an outdoor pool and a business centre. The hotel also has its own restaurant, private beach as well as, beach bar.

 

Perfil: 

  • Tener entre 18 y 25 años.
  • Tener nociones básicas de inglés.

 

70% of travel expenses will be reimbursed after providing as with all requires invoices and originals of tickets, and all accommodation and food costs will be covered for the duration of the project.
