Summary:

Countries: EU+ Eastern Europe and Caucasus The Training Course “Self Employment-Model to assist disadvantaged people” aims to explore the concept of self employment as an innovative way to address social problems through self employment of Young people.

In times when the governments and business sector don’t have enough capacity to satisfy societal needs, the project will spread the idea that self employment can be the change agents for society, improving systems, inventing new approaches, and persuading society to take new leaps for the better.

 

This project will take the concept of enterprise and self-employment into the heart of the disadvantaged communities in a EU and across the EU and provide a supportive and nurturing environment that will bring disadvantaged young people to a point where they can access and benefit fully from any mainstream business support that is locally available.

 

 

The participants will have space to tackle major social issues and offer new ideas for wide-scale change. In this way, the Training Course will serve as a platform for learning how to build a better world in a healthy and sustainable environment using youth initiatives. During the Training Course participants will be exposed to workshops, simulation games, open space technology, debates, as well as intercultural games, thus being able to benefit from the Training of experiences and interactive learning.

 

The training will last 6 working days and will be organized in Rustavi, Republic of Georgia having on board 20 young leaders coming from 10 organizations from EU and EU neighborhood: Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Greece, Georgia, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey.

Objectives:

  • Main objectives are to fighting European Youth Unemployment and poverty through developing the potential of Young people, increasing their confidence and making them self reliant.
  • As a consequence, we will ensure a more inclusive, economically strong and creative european youth population which is the one of the priority of the Youth in Action Programme.
  • To develop among participants positive attitudes towards sustainable business and social entrepreneurship, so that they can translate these attitudes in favor of non formal education for youngsters in their communities, and by using the art of Origami as a source of inspiration and as an effective pedagogical tool for sustainable entrepreneurship education.
  • To develop cooperation with our European partners, Eastern Europe and the Caucasus for the education of youth in sustainable entrepreneurship.

 

Venue: Our training course will take place in Rustavi. Rustavi is the bigest city of Qvemo Kartli region and Tbilisi agglomeration district and represents region administration center. The city is 27 kilometers away from the center of the capital city, from Tbilisi International Airport 20 km, from the border of Republic of Armenia- 45 km, while from the Azeri border – 30 km.

70% of travel expenses will be reimbursed after providing as with all requires invoices and originals of tickets, and all accommodation and food costs will be covered for the duration of the project.
